An open door and hanging hats

An open pub door reveals a bright interior and hanging pointed hats beneath a dark timber porch. Black and white photograph by Mark C Grant.

One doorway sits inside another. The dark triangular porch and lantern compress the upper frame, while the open door makes an uneven passage towards the bar. The small hanging hats give the Halloween detail without needing a crowd.

Ormskirk, 30 October 2026. Mark remembers a quiet Friday before Halloween, with a few people already dressed for the occasion and a fresh covering of autumn leaves. Original camera rendering and complete frame retained.
