Thorns against the sky
← All photographs · Studio sequences · Photograph © Mark C Grant · Original catalogue entry ↗
Thorny branches and rounded seed heads overlap against a pale, clouded sky. Black and white photograph by Mark C Grant.
Sharp thorns and soft foreground shapes overlap at different depths. The branches refuse a neat pattern; their uneven spacing gives the picture its rhythm.
Photographed on a local walk, 27 October 2026. Fujifilm X100VI; original camera rendering and full composition retained.
